Sato futon with two-part structure: bottom upholstered mat with coconut rubber/coconut fibre, top sleeping mat with cotton. Level of firmness: firm to hard, upholstered mat cannot be folded, sleeping mat can be rolled up, suitable for rigid slats, easy to clean and durable. Model on display at Sato in non-vegan version.

For the upholstered mat, the colour of the cover fabric can be selected, the sleeping mat is supplied in light écru.

    Futon double system, the firm to hard, non-foldable upholstered mat on the bottom, the cosy rollable sleeping mat on top. Japanese minimalism with European comfort, Japanese-European sleeping culture. For all those who prefer hard futons without tatami but with a bed frame and slats. And for those who appreciate a fresh sleeping surface on a regular basis, the sleeping mat can also be replaced separately at any time, without the upholstered mat. Two futons on top of each other – a variation of the usage in Japan: the old futon on the bottom, the new one on top, making sleeping fresher and softer. Also popular with young families who like extra firmness. The cheaper sleeping mat can easily be laid out in the sun to dry and clean in case of mishaps and then be replaced later. The lifespan is at least 10 years. The total duration of life depends on the hygienic burden and weight load. Care of the upholstered mat: use only on rigid grids, turn and rotate 2-3 times a year. Care of the sleeping mat: occasional shaking and rolling. Design by Sato, handmade in Germany. Organic futon, eco-certified materials.
