This elegant tumbler has an extremely thin yet strong wall thickness. Made in Japan from black glass using traditional thin-blowing techniques. Its lightness and colour make it easy to mistake it for plastic, but it is made entirely of glass. Mouth diameter 7 cm, height 12.7 cm. Capacity 340 ml.

The thin-blowing process is a traditional method of glassmaking in which glass is blown into thin walls. The glassmaker must work with great precision to achieve an even wall thickness. This technique requires a great deal of experience and skill to ensure that the glass is thin enough to be light, yet strong enough to serve as a drinking glass. The result is a very light glass product that has a delicate appearance despite its stability.
