The haori is a traditional Japanese jacket that was originally worn over the kimono. Unlike the kimono, the haori is cut shorter and is worn open or closed with a short tie (himo). Today, the haori is also worn independently of the kimono as a versatile garment, combining traditional textile design with modern everyday wear.
