Kapok and Cotton Duvet 200 x 210 – Warmth Rating 2

Soft and lightweight duvet, filling: 60% kapok, 40% cotton; cover: 100% organic fine batiste cotton. Temperature-regulating and with excellent moisture management. Made from 100% plant fibres, this duvet is also ideal for vegans and allergy sufferers. Washable at 40°.

Available heat classes

  • 2: 300g/m2 Summer duvet. Light duvet with low heat retention.
  • 3: 415g/m2 All-season duvet with normal warmth retention, ideal for Minergie® homes, for sleeping with windows closed in winter, with windows open for people with lower warmth needs. 
  • 4: 490g/m2 All-season duvet with high heat retention due to additional air inclusion through double fleece processing, suitable in winter with open windows and for people with higher heat requirements. 

Kapok fibre comes from the fast-growing tropical kapok tree. It grows mainly in Indonesia. The tree cannot be cultivated, so this natural wonder is protected from monoculture and chemical inputs such as fertilisers and sprays. Sato uses the soft hair of the seed pod as a filling material. The hollow fibre is highly breathable and water repellent, providing a comfortable climate.

Care instructions: Shake and air regularly. Direct sunlight ensures maximum regeneration. Wash at 30-40° on a delicate wash cycle, if necessary short tumble dry at the lowest temperature. Dry the duvet flat, not (!) hanging. Shake well before use.
