Exclusive Sato design, handcrafted in Switzerland from Emmental fir. The Tenshi Sofa combines two modular Tenshi units with a detachable backrest, three back cushions, two sleeping pillows, and optionally 0, 1 or 2 bolsters. A sofa by day, a bed by night. The futon is available in 80 cm width (flush fit) or 90 cm width (slightly overhanging, lounge effect, as shown in the product images). Choice of fabric colours. Dimensions: 205 x 82.5 cm, height 26 cm. Model on display at Sato.

The Tenshi has been a cornerstone of the Sato collection since 1996 – purist, modular, timeless. The Tenshi Sofa is its natural evolution: the same units, paired with a detachable backrest and cushions, form a fully functional sofa that converts into a bed at night. Crafted from Emmental fir by the CONTACT Foundation in Bern, exclusively for Sato. Existing Tenshi owners can upgrade with ease – backrest and cushions are all it takes. A piece of furniture that adapts to life's changing needs rather than being replaced. That is slow living.
