Sato Design: Beautiful and high quality wardrobe with easy to move shoji doors. Suitable as a wardrobe, futon cupboard or work cupboard. 2-door version in widths 146 and 188 cm, 3-door version in widths 216 and 279 cm. Height 210 or 220 cm, standard wardrobe depth 68 cm, depth 58 cm also possible. Internal depth = external depth minus 8 cm. Doors in solid wood covered with tear-resistant Japanese paper, mesh panels in various sizes. Body in blockboard with real wood veneer. Shelves and clothes rail included. Optional drawers.

The Todana is a Sato original design, marrying the visual language of shoji with the functionality of a European wardrobe. Shoji, traditionally used as translucent room dividers, define the fronts here: tear-resistant Japanese paper stretched across a fine solid-wood lattice lets light pass through gently, lending the piece a lightness rarely found in solid wardrobe doors. The carcase is solidly built, with a clothes rail, shelves and optional drawers inside for thoughtful organisation. Whether used as a wardrobe, futon cupboard or workspace cabinet, the Todana organises without dominating, true to the spirit of Slow Living. A piece that fuses Japanese living philosophy with European clarity into a form entirely its own.
